March 18th - Boston Flower Show We left Queens at 7:30 a.m. and got to the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston at 11:30 a.m. Some passengers stayed on the bus and they headed to the Aquarium. At 1 p.m., we headed to the Aquarium, picked up the other passengers and then we all headed to Quincy Market. Quincy Market is a mall with lots of stores and lots to eat. We left Quincy Market at 4 and arrived in Rego Park at about 8:30 p.m. |

April 16th - Attended a rally on the steps of City Hall. The Board of Election has been trying to move our polling place out of LeFrak City. Prior to all this mess, the 5 buildings voted in the Continental Room, which I think is too small for all the voting residents of LeFrak City. For the 2017 primary, 4 Sections were moved to PS 13 and Section 5 was moved to the High School of Arts and Business. The court ruled that the residents of LeFrak could return to voting in the Continental Room. In November 2017, the 4 Sections returned to the Continental Room and Section 5 stayed in the High School. The Board decided to appeal the decision. We are now awaiting the court's decision. (Update, August 23, 2020 - Eventually, Sections 1, 2 and 3 were allowed to vote in the Continental Room and Sections 4 and 5 began to use the library. So the polling site Sections remained on the LeFrak premises.) While listening to the speeches, a group of firefighters appeared. I was told by an American firefighter that the men were from Poland. I took these two photos. |
