April 23, 2012 - Page 30

On 4/22, I headed to JFK in a rain storm to fly to St. Croix via San Juan.  I decided to celebrate
my 61st birthday on the island where I was born.  A little after midnight on 04/23, JetBlue flight
took off.  I arrived on San Juan after 4 a.m.  and at 6:30 a.m. I left on an American Eagle flight.
I arrived on St. Croix at 7:00 a.m. on 4/23 and left at 7:00 p.m. on the same day!  I spent the day
with my sisters, Gloria and Nilsa.  It was such a great day that I may do this for all my birthdays!

A few of
the 7 flags
that
flew over
St. Croix.
Can you
name
them?
Not all
flags
visible.

These 3 photos are of rocks that are on
the south side of Fisher Street, close to
King Street.  Don't know why they were placed
in the area or by whom but I think they were originally
placed as barriers so cars would not park in the
empty lot.  In prior trips the rocks were just regular
gray rocks.  Now they are painted.  I did not find
out who painted them or why.  I found them to be
colorful and decided to take these photos.

I called them Rasta Rocks.

The following photo has been appearing on the back cover of "Cruise Travel" magazine for a few issues now.
I think it
is breath taking and decided to post it here.
