On 4/22, I headed to JFK in a rain storm to fly to St. Croix via San Juan.  I decided to celebrate my 61st
birthday on the island where I was born.  A little after midnight on 04/23, the JetBlue flight took off.  I arrived
on San Juan after 4 a.m.  and at 6:30 a.m.
, I left on an American Eagle flight.  I arrived on St. Croix at 7:00 a.m.
on 4/23 and left at 7:00 p.m. on the same day!  I spent the day with Gloria and Nilsa.  We had breakfast and
later lunch, toured the island, visited friends and even had time to go to the bakery to buy my favorite,
guava tarts!  It was such a great day that I may do this for all my birthdays!  I did more on this short trip than
I did when I went to St. Croix for a week or more.  However, earlier trips were to spend time with Mother
.

At El Flamboyán Restaurant in Machuchal
Glory was paying more attention to her food.   The food was
good.  But what was I talking about?
The more noise I made, the
more Jai laughed!
