|California, July 1977
On this trip, I visited relatives in Los Angeles then spent a few days in San Francisco.
|I think this is Universal Studio. We visited many parks. Since I did not make an annotation as to which park is which,
I can only guess.
This show was seen from a train. We came up to what looks like a lake. In a movie, this would be an ocean.
The fisherman can be seen in the middle of the body of water. He catches something and is pulled. Fisherman
and boat disappears. After a while, we are attacked by Jaws. Some people screamed, some people laughed as the
train tilted towards the body of water. Below is a closeup of Jaws.
|An Orca (Killer Whale) putting on a
show! Could have been in Marine World.
|San Francisco. A trolley (left) and at right the TransAmerica Pyramid.
|The Harbor Prince, a ferry I took around the San Francisco Bay.
|The two bridges: At left, Golden Gate; at right, Oakland.
|Alcatraz Island (The Rock). It began as a lighthouse then changed to a
military fortification, later a military prison and later became a federal prison
until 1963. Today, the island is a historic site operated by the
National Park Service.
April 19, 2020 - I began cleaning out my closets a while back since I decided to rent the small room of my apartment
to a friend. I had to shift things around which had been stored in the closets to make space. In so doing, I decided
to get rid of the many photo albums I had stored in the foyer closet. Damn, I did not know I had that many photo
albums. Before shredding the photos/postcards and souvenirs, I looked at them and decided to keep a few.
I will post what I saved and scanned on various pages. Some photos and postcards may be posted on other
pages. Everything posted will be as scanned without adjusting the photo for color, clarity, etc.
What you see is what you get. Watermark will not be added. No kallaloo here, just simplicity.
Below are the photos/postcards/souvenirs being added. Keep in mind, some may be duplicates.

Presidio, the Toll Plaza and
distant high hills of Marin

speeds about 10 miles per

San Francisco's famous fog

city in the background create
a picture that leaves natives
and visitors breathless.
