Pakistan Through the Eyes of Norwin

My friend Norwin moved from Maryland to Pakistan a few years ago.
These are some of the photos he sent me.

Photos of Norwin.  At right, he is at an amusement park in
Lahore, Pakistan holding on for dear life as he gets on
a camel.
Two views of the town of Chishtian.  Watch closely and you may notice something not usually seen on
U.S. urban streets.  Looks like everyone on the streets are males.  Must be the women are home cooking and
doing house chores?  A possibility!
At left you can see sugar cane being taken to a factory for processing.  Note the guy on the bike.  He is wearing a
mask.  Is it to protect himself from pollution?  At right is the Lahore train station.  As you can see, Coca Cola
ads/logo are all over the world!
Transportation system.  As you can see, they even ride on top of the bus!  On some buses they hang on to the
sides and back.  You can see a bike on top of the bus on the left.   And in NYC, we complain when the buses are
crowded.  Maybe the people that complain can start riding on the top of the bus?
Postcard by Venus Agency.
Yes, the
Golden Arches
can also be
found in
Pakistan.  No
pork
products
can be sold.
This ad reads,
"Americans
want to make
you fat.
Do not
eat here."
Folks, I made
that up!

In the
larger cities,
one can also
find KFC,
Subway,
Pizza Hut
and other
fast food
joints.
Too spicy for Norwin!
Update - After spending a few years in Pakistan, Norwin returned to the U.S.  It's a long story!!
