Trips Taken in August 2011 - Page KKK

On August 3rd, I went on L&M's Hot Air Balloon Festival tour which was being held in Warren County,
New Jersey.  Our first stop was in
Clinton, a beautiful small town close to the South Branch of the
Raritan River.  We spent about an hour here.  I had lunch at the
Towne Restaurant on Main Street.
After touring the town and having lunch, we headed to the
Warren County Annual Farmers' Fair.
Unfortunately, when we got there it began to rain.  The hot air balloons were to go up at 6:30 p.m. but
the downpour that began at about 6:20 cancelled the show!  Too bad!!!

A few photos I took on August 13th.  This Penn-Dutch tour took us to Miller's for lunch.  The stops made during the
tour of the farms were the same, Eli's,
Bird-in-Hand Bakery, and Kitchen Kettle.  The day was cloudy.  As we were
leaving Kitchen Kettle at 4:25 p.m., it began to pour! Luckily
Kitchen Kettle was the last stop.

Lunch at Miller's was buffet style.  The food was good and there was plenty of it and many choices, including a
dessert bar.  This was my first time at Miller's.
