| The New England State Fair, September 19, 2009 - Page QQ |
This fair is all about the New England States - Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire. It is called the Big E. Though the map of the grounds gives one the impression that the area is small, one realizes differently as one begins to walk around the grounds. The states each have their exhibits in the buildings on Avenue of States. There are various vendors in other parts of the grounds. There was a lot to eat, a lot to see, and a lot to purchase. There was something for everyone. Shows take place in various venues. The amusement park found at the fair was as big as Coney Island. Only thing missing was a roller coaster. It was a beautiful day to be at the fair! We arrived at 11:30 a.m. and left at 5:30 p.m. The photos below should give you a glimpse of the Big E. Fair is held in West Springfield, Massachusetts. |
