Strasburg, PA. July 28, 2009 - Page MM

This trip was taken with the Lefrak Senior Center.  It was not as organized as L & M or Crosby but it was
still interesting.

We visited
Strasburg, PA and rode a train from Strasburg  to Paradise.   We ate lunch as the train traveled
from one place to the next.  The ride was about 45 minutes.  Along the way, we got to see the beautiful
countryside.  We passed The
Cherry  Crest Farm with its famous corn maze.  Across the street from the
Strasburg Railroad is the Railroad Museum.   We visited the gift shop at Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn
and then headed to Kitchen Kettle.  While there, we visited the
People's Place Quilt Museum.
Incredible quilts are on display and for sale!

Most of the day was H to the third power - Hot, Humid and Hazy.  The sun did come out after a while,
making the day even hotter.  It was a great day for a train ride.

Elton asked, "How many times will you photograph
this view?"  I replied, "As often as there is a difference in
the view."  This can be seen from Kitchen Kettle.

were taken at Kitchen Kettle.    Being there during the
week was great since the place was basically empty!
The End of another  great trip!  Hope you enjoyed the photos.
