More of Queens & Manhattan - Page TT

The incredibly large and bright full moon of January 29th. To the left was Mars, which was too small to show up here.
The snow of 02/10/10, as seen from my terrace.

Manhattan

Sunrise, the day after the snow storm.
Views from my terrace using two different settings. Left, snow setting; right, automatic setting. Per report, 10 inches of snow fell in NYC

Photos taken from 39th Street and Park Avenue, looking north. The center lanes lead into Grand Central Terminal. The Met Life building was once the Pan Am building. On the roof was a heliport. The statue in photo above is over the driveway into the terminal. Photo above taken from Lexington and 42nd.
Another Snow Storm - Queens |

Taken from my terrace. Left - Park across the street. Right - Flushing Meadows Park as the snow was coming down!

Both taken at the 82nd Street Station, #7 line, looking east.

Tracks entering/leaving Willets Point, #7 train. Right is a close up view

Left - Part of the parking lot at Citi Field buried under snow. Right - Tennis stadium at Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
The following photos were taken in Flushing Meadows Corona Park as the snow was coming down. Snow was wet, so much of it was not sticking. Most of this snow could be from the snow fall of February 10, 2010. |

Similar shot but using two different settings.

Someone built an igloo.
A squirrel dug for food, found something and then began to eat it.

Same shot taken twice using two different settings - automatic and snow.

In the summer this will be a baseball field.

Terrace on the Park

Hope you enjoyed my winter shots. To view similar shots of Flushing Meadows Corona Park taken in the summer, please go to Page PP. |
And yet another storm. This one started on February 25th with rain which eventually turned to snow. |

The grid of the railing on my terrace filled with snow.

A flower pot on the terrace. Looks like a miniature bath tub?
Looking east, the Long Island Expressway (LIE). Nothing keeps people off the roads!
The park across the L.I.E.
On Park Ave, looking north, Met Life building.
Vehicles parked in lot at back of my building. Taken from terrace.
