The two photos on the left were taken from my terrace minutes apart. It was a little after 6:30 a.m. In the first photo you can see the observation towers in Flushing Meadows Corona Park in the distance. Photo taken with the automatic setting. The next photo was taken with the Night Portrait setting within Scene (SCN) mode. In the second photo, you can see the gas station and the lights of the cars on the Long Island Expressway (L.I.E.), visible on the right side of the photo. To the far left, you can see the towers in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. |
On October 10, 2009, Maria and I took a one day tour with Crosby * that included lunch at Gasho restaurant, a visit to the Brotherhood Winery and a quick stop at Woodbury Common mall. Gasho is as beautiful as always. The Brotherhood Winery appears to be going through a massive remodeling. Woodbury Common was overcrowded! It took us 2 hours 15 minutes to get out of the parking lot!! We left at 6 p.m. and finally got of the mall and onto the highway at 8:15. What a mess! We left the parking lot at about the time we should have arrived back into the City! |
| Kodak Z712 IS camera used to take both photos! |

| Inside the restaurant. This photo not too clear. Photo at right is view of Koi Pond from inside restaurant. |

| The grounds, back of the restaurant, and pond. |

| At the Brotherhood Winery |

| The grape stumping contest. And the winner is? In this round, the man! |

| In the cellar |
| The history of one of the owners of the winery. |

| The cellars were being prepared for a Halloween Party! |

| Maria, dwarfed by the huge kegs. |
| Wine tasting in what was once a church. The lady to Maria's left is Julie, the Tour Director. |
* Crosby Tours ceased operations in November 2009! It was sad to see them go!! |

No photos of the Woodbury Mall? Hi, it's just a mall. You've seen one, you've seen them all. |
| My favorite wine is the Brotherhood Winery Holiday Spiced Wine. It's sweet. Check it out here. It can be found in two liquor stores in my neighborhood. |
