April 18, 2020 - How is everyone doing? I hope everyone is doing well. Please take all the necessary precautions to avoid getting sick. The Coronavirus (Covid19) continues to affect the entire world. What a kallaloo! Sad. People get infected daily, and many die daily. And no one was prepared for this pandemic! Who ever thought a virus could bring the entire world to its knees? And as we continue to ruin our environment, the situation will only get worse!! From the time this virus began hitting the airwaves, I commented that the entire world should be shut down to planes and ships in or out of ANY country. Travel between states should have been banned. Many commented that such an endeavor would impact the economy severely. Look what’s happening by waiting to do something. Schools are closed. Businesses are closed. Millions are unemployed. Now everyone wants to be bailed out. What a kallaloo! Mr. Nathan Wolfe put it nicely in his "A tale of two futures" in the April 27 / May 4 edition of Time magazine: "...When politicians balk, epidemics ignite." Hopefully, the “great” US of A will realize how important it is to bring businesses back from China and the rest of the world. We save money by manufacturing overseas but at what cost? How can a country supposedly as wealthy as the US of A have very little supplies? Shortages of masks/gloves and personal protective equipment in hospitals? There are lines to get into supermarkets, pharmacies, etc. The streets are empty. Planes rarely fly over LeFrak City. Traffic on the Long Island Expressway (L.I.E) that I can see from my apartment has very few cars. The L.I.E is now a true Expressway since there is no morning or evening traffic jam. The subway and buses are meant to be for employees considered “essential”. I can see more stars in the sky at night. We are to wear masks when we leave our homes. Gloves are also necessary since the virus can linger on many materials. We are told to “stay home, stay safe”. They say we are all in this together. Bull shit. One virus but many different experiences. I doubt we will ever go back to our “normal” way of life. What a kallaloo! Hopefully a cure will be found - a vaccine to stop the spread of the virus. What if business are re-opened before a vaccine is developed? A possible kallaloo. I have been calling myself a pessimistic optimist. Is there such a thing? I began cleaning out my closets since I decided to rent the small room of my apartment to a friend. I had to move things stored in the closets around in order to make space. In so doing, I decided to get rid of the many photo albums I had stored in the foyer closet. Damn, I did not know I had that many photo albums. Before shredding the photos/postcards/souvenirs, I looked at them and decided to keep a few. I will post what I saved and scanned on various pages. Some photos and postcards may be posted on other pages. Everything posted will be as scanned without adjusting the photo for color, clarity, etc. What you see is what you get. Watermark will not be added. No kallaloo here, just simplicity. Below will appear a list of the pages where the photos/postcards/souvenirs have been posted. I will send out an email to let everyone know. Keep in mind this will take a while. I have all the time in the world to do it but some days the desire may not there. Enjoy!!! |

Thanks May 6, 2020, 1:46 p.m. Next job - Verify that all links to other sites are still proper. I will review pages as they appear under my navigation_bars listing under the site contents, not as they necessarily appear on the actual website. The pages appear numerically first and then alphabetically under site contents. The pages on the website appear by topic. Got it? I know this is clear as molasses, but please, don't fret over it. See below, white background. In the meantime, please let me know if you find a link on a page that does NOT work. THANKS. May 19, 2020, 5:53 p.m. Added 2 photos to the bottom of St. Croix 37. May 26, 2020, 1:51 p.m. Since the videos were removed from pages 2013 N and 2013 O, I decided to scan the magnets I bought during the 1996 and 2013 tours and add them to the website. May 2, 2020, 3:54 p.m. As it CLEARLY states on the list below, above 8:03 p.m. of April 22nd: "Photos/postcards/souvenirs added are ALL on the bottom of the indicated Pages." I couldn't be clearer. So I thought. To the individuals who want EVERYTHING on a platter: The added photos/postcards, etc., will appear under the statement dated April 19, 2020, which SHOULD appear on every Page updated. The statement will appear with a lemon yellow background and reads/looks as follows: |

June 18, 2020 - Phase 1 began in New York City on June 8th. Some businesses were allowed to open. Malls are still closed. It should be noted that more and more cars can be seen on the L.I.E. There are also more planes coming into LGA. Phase 2 should begin on June 22nd. With this Phase malls will be allowed to open. Naturally, masks and social distancing will be necessary. Other phases followed. |
Sunday, January 31, 2021: This page will be the last one created using SiteBuilder. Below is the information I received from Yahoo. I was given two other tools I can use but it would mean copying all the photos to the new tools, Website Builder and WordPress hosting. I contacted Yahoo and was told that as long as I pay my yearly fee, the website will stay online. Let's see for how long this will happen. I suppose I can created a new site to add my photos after March 31st. I have not made a decision yet. Monday, January 25, 2021 - Soon Yahoo SiteBuilder will no longer be supported. Get a new and better website today at no additional cost. Starting on March 31st, 2021, we will discontinue support for the Yahoo SiteBuilder editor to increase focus on our newer website creation tools. Here’s what you need to know about your current site: Your website will stay online for now. After March 31 2021, you will no longer be able to edit or update your website built using Yahoo SiteBuilder. If you wish to make changes and updates in the future you must create a new website. |
